There is higher spiritual consciousness at the center of the universe. This conscious intelligence exists at the nucleus of every atom in every particle of matter and is felt intuitively by every human being. This Life Force Energy is responsible for all that exists, including us.
Each of us is but a speck a sub-atomic particle in the expanse of an infinite universe, yet we are able to feel like we are the very center of the universe. The Life Force is able to create this reality, as difficult and complex as that must be, and create every human being in it to feel absolutely special.
The universe began as a thought. Thought has the power to create the universe. What we think creates our own personal universe. We have built a multitude of religious institutions in our attempt to understand our own spirituality. Man’s religions have interpreted what we believe to be the truth about The Life Force and the purpose for our existence and there is a unique interpretation for every different religion. Man’s religions have incessantly controlled our spiritual beliefs about why we are here and we are influenced by that philosophy on the deepest spiritual level.
Our religions have always reflected man’s own place of spiritual evolution. Our religions exert power and control. We give The Life Force human characteristics and a name; Allah, Jehovah, Yahweh, God. We have even given Him traits that resemble our own egos. In Christian religion we refer to God as Our Father. Religion has interpreted The Life Force as a vengeful, judgmental and condemning God to be feared, similar to an authoritarian father. What if God is an unconditional loving, compassionate woman? What if our religion is not the truth?
If we are to suggest that our religions have the authority to represent God then the doctrine must reflect the intelligence of The Life Force. If we are to allow our religions to control our spiritual beliefs to the point of determining who we are, then we need to be certain that we have chosen the right religion. There are a lot of choices when it comes to religion, some of which are diametrically opposed, which means they cannot all be the truth.
What Religion Is God? is a timely book for those looking for answers about religion, spirituality and the truth about God. Simply put, this book takes a look at the fundamental precepts that have formed our religions and puts them to the test of intelligent logic. It looks at the atrocities committed by man in the name of God and asks if God would have any part in it. If we are truly interested in our own spiritual evolution then we must be open to other possible truths, even if it means giving up our religion.
